Cégtörténet

1989 was a year of significant changes in many aspects.

For Workplus Hungary, it marked the year of its establishment.

Our Story

Krisztina Varga, the founder and CEO of the company, recognized the opportunity that the evolving Hungarian early stage corporate world provided and its support and development as service could offer while working as a special education teacher. In 1989, she embarked on her entrepreneurial journey and established Workplus Hungary.

The values of patience, attentive care, and supportive guidance derived from the field of special education became the defining pillars of Workplus' internal culture and efficient operation.

In the 1990s, the company started collaborating with several large state and international corporations, taking on selection & recruitment tasks, strategic trainings, and organizational development projects. By 2006, the number of Workplus employees grew to nearly 30 across offices in Hungary and Romania. While the Romanian office has since closed, Workplus expanded its presence to theUnited Kingdom(2012) and the United States (2018).

In the second half of 2006, the fourth-largest global workforce services company approached Workplus to partnership, leading to acquisition. From 2006 to 2010, Workplus operated as part of the international Staff Service group.

Later, Krisztina repurchased the company, and the work continued with renewed vigor.

The winds of change blew again in 2013, introducing a then-innovative hybrid work culture (combining remote and office work), demand-based office spaces, and a deliberately built team of professionals. This structural foundation greatly facilitated Workplus' adaptation to the changed work conditions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019/20, enabling continuous and efficient operations.

For Workplus, the greatest value of a company lies in its people. This belief is not just a statement but a principle faithfully upheld in every project and task we undertake.

We deliver people-centric solutions to our individual and corporate partners, fostering their development and strengthening their organizations.

We firmly believe that company culture is one of the defining factors influencing a company's success and efficiency.

Therefore, every question regarding effectiveness raises the underlying question of whether the culture supports the process. If not, what changes should be implemented to bring about that support? How can "unity" and "system" coexist in a win-win harmony?

With these final three questions, we arrive at the wide range of services offered by Workplus as an organization and business development company since its founding in 1989.

Our aim is not to be the biggest, but to be among the most respected. The fact that our partners have chosen Workplus as their service provider should already serve as a reliability guarantee.

We aspire to become an indispensable player in the domestic and international premium organizational and business development market through innovative strategies and tools.

We support companies with efficient and rapid solutions, stimulating their success and providing measurable return on investment (ROI).

We develop, provide, and teach services and methods that effectively help individuals overcome their limitations, whether personal or work-related.
